Thought for the day: “First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win.” - Mahatma Ghandi
STOP SENSATIONALISING The media is always looking for something sensational and sensationalise anything to sell more newspapers or increase viewership. I have a constructive suggestion - stop sensationalising the wrong things. Do some banner headlines on Global Warming - Deforestation. Find a victim of violent crime and follow the story. Attack child abusers and murderers. Make your sensations constructive not destructive. Our planet and its peoples need your help. - via email SICK SOCIETY What a sick society we have when we pay silly popstars and filmstars a fortune and idolise them - even when their weaknesses are exposed! Our adulation of sportsmen and women has turned sport into a huge business and ruined it. Then we turn around and complain if we have to pay nurses, doctors, teachers, policemen etc.! We really are sick aren’t we? I mean a popstar earns about 100 times more than a doctor, nurse or paramedic who save lives! - via email A FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON PARTED Get off your backsides and wake up to the horrors faxing us with global warming. If you think it won’t affect you - you are so wrong. So you feel you can’t do anything about it. Well we all can do our little bit but to halt this death march we must force ourselves to put an end to this rampant consumerism that is fuelling our planet’s destruction. Do you really need most of the things you buy? Of course not. We just buy - buy and buy - just because we like it - we give no thought to the fact that the production of all these items is a major contributor to the pollution of our beautiful planet. Stop the rampant consumerism - think before you buy! Buy! Buy! - via email
