The whole world seems to be crazy. We have natural disasters on an enormous scale. Heat waves in Russia caused by prolonged drought have caused devastating fires. This has caused them to ban wheat exports. We as a nation will suffer as we import a great deal of our wheat from Russia. Bread prices etc. Are set to sky rocket. China and Pakistan are devastated by severe and continuous floods on a scale previously unheard of. Oil spills etc. Are man made disasters adding to the problem.
Almost daily seismic activity is recorded and whole chunks the size of an island break off the Greenland glaciers. The most alarming thing is the disappearance of an island off Bangladesh. Sure it was only 1 metre or so above sea level, but that means the sea level has risen over 1 metre in that vicinity.
As for mankind, will we continue on our merry destructive path? Corruption and greed are leading to the destruction of our national heritage. Our wild animals are being butchered at an alarming rate. I understand that hungry people will take steps to survive but killing animals for sexual enhancement is truly disgusting!
Our dams and rivers are polluted. Now the underground toxic acid mine waters are threatening to engulf the West Rand and the whole of Gauteng! Apparently this water is also radioactive. So who says there is no Armageddon! Time to stop talking, discussing and shnaing your brother in the back! Time to act now before its too late.
We act by getting our duly elected officials to act. Stop allowing government to abdicate its responsibilities! Stop being suckered by big business into thinking you are personally responsible for the planet, the poor, the unfortunates and wildlife! How can you be. We have no power only our vote and we pay taxes - boy do we pay taxes so lets so our government officials do what they are supposed to!
