While on that issue, your one-stop-arts-shop for information is The ArtStand at the Sydenham Road end of Essenwood Market. It's distinguishable by its strong blue colour and tall centre and is easy to spot. It is its own little independent organisation with sponsorship from Bartel Arts Trust, Essenwood Craft Market and Business & Arts SA
The ArtStand is run by the secretary, Pauline Dalais, who is assisted by Mavu Nene who helps assemble and dismantle the stand. They are at the market nearly every weekend. You can pick up loads of information and D’Arts Magazine.
On that note, one final mention: I was lucky enough to meet Alisa Windsor from GoingPlacesSA.com and strictly tickets.com. Alisa has a stand in the market which means you can book for any and almost any current show ! So why fret! Simply go to the Essenwood Craft Market - relax - have a cup of coffee - a chat and then mosey on down to Alisa Windsors’ GoingPlaces@Essenwood, Stand and book your tickets. You will be instantly charmed by Alisa and make no error she will get your tickets!!
So dahlings! I certianly hope we shall see you at the market!

GoingPlaces was founded three years ago to encourage one and all to enjoy theatre, movies and leisure entertainment. Now we’ve added an all-in-one booking office for events – whether they be theatre or music. We handle all bookings even Computicket (which we access via the Internet); we are an agent for Strictly tickets; sell Imax vouchers; do bookings for the supper theatres and sell tickets from booklets for any other events eg Baroque 2000. In fact, you name it – we can book it! Please visit our stand at the market!
