My compliments to Today! The pepper steak pies have been improved...they are
very nice and peppery and the gravy is much more substantial. A tip to my
readers,,, when you are baking a frozen pie ...allow it to bake until nicely
browned on top then pop it out of the foil container and bake the pastry
underneath until golden brown ....tastes a whole lot better!
This month I have a bone to pick with all the manufacturers of these new frozen
meals in a box. Your products are not very tasty and certainly do not provide a
meal for more than one person and as such are grossly overpriced! Readers
please note that none of these meals is a complete meal ...you will still have
to make rice or noodles or vegs or salad. Remember to include the cost of the
extras in your calculations!
