We are told that we have no death penalty in this glorious country of ours.
I beg to disagree! On hearing that the sister of the domestic worker of a
friend of mine died because she was denied dialysis at the local general
hospital, I was reminded of a similar case a few years back when an Indian
gentleman died for the same reason. The doctors in charge of these units are
limited by the number of dialysis machines at their disposal and have therefore
to decide on who lives and who dies. They are placed in the invidious position
of pronouncing a death sentence on some poor innocent individual! Invariably
they base their decisions on who will have the best chance of survival.
Thieving corrupt politicians and bureaucrats should be prosecuted for murder as
their dirty little hands in the public purse has led to a desperate shortage of
funds in the health department and thus a dire shortage of life saving
equipment!
Wake up Mr Mbekhi and jail these corrupt people....a slap on the
wrist is just not good enough any longer.
